SCL Electrical and Energy is very much a family business with the second generation taking on the mantle from the original, highly respected family business. All the values that were important to the founding family members, those of excellent customer service, carrying out a full and complete job and building strong customer relationships have been carried into the new generation. We have also added the development of testing and use of new technologies, including renewable energies, power saving equipment and low energy lighting.
All our office support team are family members and committed to the regeneration. Each and every member of staff has a common sense, customer focused attitude and expect that the customer is looked after in the most appropriate manner. Our team of electricians complete contracts to a high standard, they have over 50 years of experience between them and will not take short cuts to create risk.
We have a strong history of delivering successful projects meeting compliance requirements through electrical testing to electrical repairs and installations for both domestic and commercial clients. We have also, more recently, delivered successful solar installation projects from a small 8 panel array generating 2kW of electrical power to a large corporate array of over 200 panels generating over 50kW of electrical power

NICEIC is the UK electrical contracting industry’s independent voluntary body. They offer leading certification services, Building Regulations Schemes, products and support to electrical contractors and many other trades within the construction industry. Over 25,000 contractors are registered with them and take advantage of their products and services.
NICEIC registration not only demonstrates to customers our skills and professionalism, it also gives peace of mind that our products and services are the best in the industry. Our NICEIC registration enables us to carry out the PAT Testing, Fixed Wire Testing and carry out the Electrical Installation Condition Reports to the required standard.

Feed-in-Tariffs present just this opportunity to NICEIC MCS registered contractors - the situation described above is a reality. As a registered NICEIC MCS contractor it was important that SCL also gained the required qualifications for Solar PV installations so that our clients qualify for the Solar Feed-in tariff.
The Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) has now replaced the Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd. (REAL) Consumer Code was set up by the Renewable Energy Association. Their aim is to guarantee a high quality experience for consumers wishing to buy or lease small-scale energy generation systems for their homes. The RECC logo is a sign that the company has agreed to abide by the high standards set out in the RECC.
Their members are firms selling or leasing small-scale renewable, low carbon heat or power generation unit who have agreed to comply with the RECC. This Code is backed by the Office of Fair Trading as part of its self-regulation initiative, the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.
At the heart of what they do is their national online database, the UK's largest register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants. In terms of efficiency, time and cost saving and best practice, Constructionline is proven to deliver for public and private sector organisations alike.
